Workshop Schedule

Day 1: Introduction to the Pottery Wheel
  • Introduction to the pottery wheel and its components.
  • Learn the wedging technique for preparing clay.
  • Explore proper postures and hand positioning on the wheel.
  • Practice centering the clay on the wheel.

Craft Your Own Piece: Create your first pottery item by the end of the session.

Day 2: Mastering the Wheel
  • Focus on refining your centering skills.
  • Engage in hands-on practice to improve your technique.
  • Experiment with creating various shapes as you build confidence on the wheel.
Day 3: Do it Yourself
  • Try crafting your third piece with or without instructor assistance.

Workshop Process

  • After all your pieces have been fired, join us for a fun painting session!

FAQ

Can we take our piece home on the same day?

Unfortunately, no. It typically takes 1-2 weeks for us to dry and bisque fire your pieces. After that, you’ll need to return for the glazing session. If time constraints prevent you from attending the glazing session, we can apply a transparent glaze to your pieces to make them shiny and food-safe. Once they’re ready, you can collect them from our studio.

Do you offer discounts for Essad, Fazza, or Emirates Platinum cards?

Currently, we don’t have specific offers for Emirates Platinum Card, Essad, or Fazza members as we are a new studio. However, we’re in the process of working with banks to bring you some fantastic deals soon! Your support means a lot to us, and we can’t wait to share exciting offers with you in the near future.

Do you provide home delivery for the final artwork?

We do not offer home delivery services for the final artwork. However, you are welcome to collect your pieces from our studio once they are ready.

Can I keep my artwork at your studio for a longer period if I'm out of town?

Yes, we can accommodate that. We’ll keep your pieces here for a maximum of two months. After that, there will be an additional charge of AED 1 dirham for storage fees.

Would you accept toddlers while I'm attending the workshop?

Yes, you can bring your toddler to the studio, provided that there is someone available to take care of them during the workshop.

1. Clay Provision Participants will be provided with 400 grams of clay included in the workshop fee. This amount is sufficient for creating small to medium-sized pottery items.


2. Additional Clay and Items Any additional clay required beyond the initial 400 grams will be chargeable at the studio's current rates. Preparation of additional items will cost AED 130 per item, which includes clay, tools, and firing.


3. Workshop Duration Each workshop session lasts for 1.5 hours. Participants are encouraged to arrive on time to make the most of their session.


4. Cancellation Policy Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to receive a full refund or to reschedule the session.
No refunds will be provided for cancellations made less than 24 hours before the workshop.


5. Rescheduling Participants may reschedule their workshop session with at least 24 hours' notice. Availability will be subject to the studio’s schedule.


6. Specific Design Requests If participants have any specific designs in mind that may require advanced techniques, a separate day will need to be arranged. All our workshops are tailored for beginners, and teaching advanced-level techniques requires special attention and time, making it difficult to incorporate into regular workshops.


7. Acceptance of Terms By registering for the workshop, participants acknowledge that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
