Here’s What You’ll Do:

Make Your Weirdo Cup

Choose wheel throwing or handbuilding and create your own funky ceramic cup.

Make It Weird. Twist it, wobble it, stretch it or add a crazy handle. Perfect is not the goal.


Get Creative
Add your own shapes, textures, colours and little details. Make it completely yours.


We’ll Fire It
We’ll carefully dry and kiln-fire your cup to turn your creation into a real ceramic piece.


Come Back & Paint
Once your cup is fired, return for your painting session and give your weirdo some colour.


Glazed & Ready to Use
We’ll glaze and fire it again, giving your cup a beautiful, durable and food-safe finish.


Take Your Weirdo Home
Once the final firing is complete, your one-of-a-kind ceramic cup will be ready for collection.

Hey there! Don’t worry about packing anything for our workshop at Bedia Pottery Studio. Your workshop fee already covers all the supplies you’ll need. And guess what? We’ll have one of our comfy Bedia aprons ready for you to wear, so you can jump right into the fun without any fuss. Just show up, relax, and let’s get creative together! 🎨✨

Do-It-Yourself Underglazing & Free Firing

At Bedia Pottery Studio, we offer Free Firing & DIY Glazing as part of our workshop experience.

After your creation has dried for about 2 weeks, we’ll place it in our kiln for its initial firing, known as a bisque fire, reaching temperatures of 1000 degrees. This process typically takes around 24 hours.

Once your piece has cooled down, we’ll reach out to schedule a time for you to visit the studio and apply your chosen glazes. We have a wide array of beautiful colors available for you to use, all included in your workshop ticket price.

After glazing, we’ll fire your piece once again to set the glaze, making it waterproof and food-safe.

We understand that good things take time, but remember, this entire process is optional! If you prefer, you’re more than welcome to take your creation home to air dry instead. We want to ensure your pottery experience is tailored to your preferences.

You can find us at Warehouse 10, Al Khayat Avenue, Al Quoz 1, Dubai. We’re right in the midst of the art street in Al Quoz, making it super easy to spot and get to.

If you’re driving, there’s street parking aplenty nearby. But if public transport is more your style, no worries! We’re conveniently located close to On-Passive & Equity Metro Stations and also to Al Quoz bus station, so hopping on a bus is a breeze.

Can I choose between wheel throwing and handbuilding?

Yes. You can choose the method that works best for your idea.

Do I need pottery experience?

Not at all. The Weirdo Cups experience is designed for beginners, and our instructor will guide you throughout.

Can I make any shape I want?

Absolutely. Wobbly, funky, twisted or completely unexpected – there are no rules for your weirdo cup.

Can I take my cup home on the same day?

No. Your cup needs to be dried, glazed and kiln-fired before it is ready for collection.

Can I join if I’ve never used a pottery wheel before?

Of course. No experience is needed – just bring your imagination and willingness to make something weird.

What do you recommend: wheel throwing or handbuilding?

Both are fun! It really depends on how you want to make your weirdo. Get messy with handbuilding or get spinning on the wheel – either way, you’re making something uniquely yours.

Handbuilding, Pottery Wheel

1. Clay Provision Participants will be provided with 400 grams of clay included in the workshop fee. This amount is sufficient for creating small to medium-sized pottery items.


2. Additional Clay and Items Any additional clay required beyond the initial 400 grams will be chargeable at the studio's current rates. Preparation of additional items will cost AED 130 per item, which includes clay, tools, and firing.


3. Workshop Duration Each workshop session lasts for 1.5 hours. Participants are encouraged to arrive on time to make the most of their session.


4. Cancellation Policy Once the payment is received, we are unable to issue any refunds.
For single workshops, rescheduling is possible depending on the next available slots. Alternatively, you may request a credit voucher from the studio, valid for 6 months, which can be used for any future booking.
For events or group bookings, once the payment is made, the slot is considered confirmed and blocked. No refunds will be provided. Rescheduling is only possible based on availability and must be coordinated in advance.


5. Rescheduling Participants may request to reschedule their workshop session with at least 7 days’ notice. Rescheduling is subject to availability based on the studio’s schedule.
For short-notice changes (less than 7 days), please note that rescheduling is not guaranteed but may be considered depending on available slots or by issuing a 6-month credit voucher.


6. Specific Design Requests If participants have any specific designs in mind that may require advanced techniques, a separate day will need to be arranged. All our workshops are tailored for beginners, and teaching advanced-level techniques requires special attention and time, making it difficult to incorporate into regular workshops.


7. Acceptance of Terms By registering for the workshop, participants acknowledge that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
