Here’s what a typical ceramics class at Bedia Pottery might look like:
- Introduction. The instructor will start by introducing the topic of the class and demonstrating the technique that you will be learning.
- Practice. Once you have seen the instructor demonstrate the technique, you will have time to practice it yourself. The instructor will be there to help you and answer any questions you have.
- Creation. Once you have practiced the technique, you will be free to create your own piece of pottery. The instructor will be there to help you with the design and construction of your piece.
- Glazing. Once your piece is dry, you will be able to glaze it. The instructor will teach you about different types of glaze and how to apply them to your pottery.
- Firing. Once your piece is glazed, it will need to be fired in a kiln. The instructor will take care of firing your piece for you.
Once your piece is fired, it will be ready to take home and use. You’ll be proud of the beautiful and functional pottery that you’ve created.
