Beginner-Friendly Pottery Workshops – No Memberships, Just Memorable Moments

 

At Bedia Pottery Studio, we do things differently. We don’t offer memberships because we believe pottery should be approachable, joyful, and open to everyone. Our workshops are designed exclusively for beginners who are curious to try something new and enjoy the simple joy of working with clay.

What to Expect in Our Workshop:

  • Choose one: Handbuilding or Pottery Wheel
  • Session Time: 1.5 hours
  • Clay Provided: 400 grams per session 
  • Group Class: Share the joy with other beginners
  • Try something new each time—explore your creativity at your own pace

Your Pottery Journey with Us:

  • Create your piece during your first visit
  • After 3 weeks, come back to paint or underglaze your bisque-fired creation
  • We’ll finish it off with a glaze firing—and tada! Your final piece is ready for pickup

Bisque firing, painting session, and glaze firing are included in your package.

 

Important Note:These are beginner-level workshops only. Please don’t expect advanced techniques we’re all about having fun, relaxing, and making something from the heart.

Workshop Process

  • Day 1: Craft your item with the help of our instructor.
  • After 3 weeks: Your piece will be ready for the painting session once it’s bisque fired.
  • Painting Session Duration: 1 hour.
  • What to Expect: Paint and decorate your pottery before it goes for the final glaze firing.
  • Final Collection: Your fully glazed and finished piece will be ready for pickup 1–2 weeks after the painting session.
Terms & Condtions
  • Each session allows you to create only one item.
  • If working on an existing piece for 2 sessions, the session will still be deducted from your package.
  • Each item includes bisque firing, glaze firing, and a painting session.
  • Inform us in advance to book your upcoming workshops.
  • No additional time or clay will be provided for advanced-level creations.
  • You will have 2 months to complete the 5 session package.
  • Extension of this time frame will be granted only for serious and valid reasons. If sessions are not completed within the provided time, the package will expire.

FAQ

Can we take our piece home on the same day?

Unfortunately, no. It typically takes 1-2 weeks for us to dry and bisque fire your pieces. After that, you’ll need to return for the glazing session. If time constraints prevent you from attending the glazing session, we can apply a transparent glaze to your pieces to make them shiny and food-safe. Once they’re ready, you can collect them from our studio.

Do you offer discounts for Essad, Fazza, or Emirates Platinum cards?

Currently, we don’t have specific offers for Emirates Platinum Card, Essad, or Fazza members as we are a new studio. However, we’re in the process of working with banks to bring you some fantastic deals soon! Your support means a lot to us, and we can’t wait to share exciting offers with you in the near future.

Do you provide home delivery for the final artwork?

We do not offer home delivery services for the final artwork. However, you are welcome to collect your pieces from our studio once they are ready.

Can I keep my artwork at your studio for a longer period if I'm out of town?

Yes, we can accommodate that. We’ll keep your pieces here for a maximum of two months. After that, there will be an additional charge of AED 1 dirham for storage fees.

Would you accept toddlers while I'm attending the workshop?

Yes, you can bring your toddler to the studio, provided that there is someone available to take care of them during the workshop.

Pre-teens (6 yrs – 13 yrs), Young Adults (14 yrs -17 Yrs), Adults (18 yrs & above)

1. Clay Provision Participants will be provided with 400 grams of clay included in the workshop fee. This amount is sufficient for creating small to medium-sized pottery items.


2. Additional Clay and Items Any additional clay required beyond the initial 400 grams will be chargeable at the studio's current rates. Preparation of additional items will cost AED 130 per item, which includes clay, tools, and firing.


3. Workshop Duration Each workshop session lasts for 1.5 hours. Participants are encouraged to arrive on time to make the most of their session.


4. Cancellation Policy Once the payment is received, we are unable to issue any refunds.
For single workshops, rescheduling is possible depending on the next available slots. Alternatively, you may request a credit voucher from the studio, valid for 6 months, which can be used for any future booking.
For events or group bookings, once the payment is made, the slot is considered confirmed and blocked. No refunds will be provided. Rescheduling is only possible based on availability and must be coordinated in advance.


5. Rescheduling Participants may request to reschedule their workshop session with at least 7 days’ notice. Rescheduling is subject to availability based on the studio’s schedule.
For short-notice changes (less than 7 days), please note that rescheduling is not guaranteed but may be considered depending on available slots or by issuing a 6-month credit voucher.


6. Specific Design Requests If participants have any specific designs in mind that may require advanced techniques, a separate day will need to be arranged. All our workshops are tailored for beginners, and teaching advanced-level techniques requires special attention and time, making it difficult to incorporate into regular workshops.


7. Acceptance of Terms By registering for the workshop, participants acknowledge that they have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
